The online survey is now closed. Thank you to all who participated.
The RARproject is a research study run by researcher Brianne Amato as part of her master’s thesis project. Brianne holds her bachelor’s in English and Psychology from Brown University and is currently a second year graduate student in the San Francisco State University Sexuality Studies Master’s Program.
While this project’s overall goal is broad, the focus of the online survey and follow up interview is specifically women’s experiences with unwanted sexual contact, their discussions of sex and sexuality before and after such contact, and who they talk about all these issues with.
Both the survey and the interview ask basic demographic questions in addition to frank questions about unwanted sexual contact, including questions about rape. There are no correct answers to these questions, or any one “correct” definition for any of the words associated with this project, including rape.
If you would like more information on this project, please email Brianne directly at info@rarproject.com. If you would like to see a list of Bay Area resources for women, please click here.
